Arvato Operates Global Logistics Hub for B&O PLAY in Hong Kong

Hong Kong/Guetersloh - Since June 1, Arvato Asia operates B&O PLAY’s global logistics hub in Hong Kong, consolidating products from the ODM factory and distributing them to global distributors and regional logistics hubs in the US and EMEA. Arvato thereby supports B&O PLAY in establishing an agile and reliable supply chain network, aimed at supporting regional growth and creating sustainable value for the brand.

arvato’s supply chain services for B&O PLAY cover inbound and outbound handling, storage and inventory management, value-added services like repacking and label application, and the full range of trade, tax and compliance services including dangerous goods handling.

With the appointment of the logistics hub to Arvato, B&O PLAY is able to optimize overall supply chain costs in terms of freight spend, improve demand planning and predictability across the supply chain, and increase service levels by having shorter delivery lead-times to their sales channels.

The official inauguration of the distribution took place in Hong Kong on June 23. Henrik Lorensen, Corporate Vice President B&O PLAY, expressed his gratitude to the Arvato team: “A sincere thank-you to the entire Arvato team for the great effort and commitment in launching the global B&O PLAY hub in Hong Kong.”

Once the program had launched successfully, Arvato was awarded with the management of the global after-sales business, consolidating all B2B and B2C returns via a web-based return solution for APAC, EMEA and the US.

Both B&O PLAY and Arvato are planning to further strengthen and extend the partnership, and are looking forward to future projects in the years ahead.
