Harsewinkel: By gifting Harsewinkel with € 4000, Arvato is again sponsoring the city's charitable projects. The financial support goes to the urban youth organization “Stadtjugendring” and to the youth center “Die Villa”, while also funding swimming courses for kids alongside the “Rucksack Project”.
At the Town Hall on 13 July 2017, Arvato’s representatives handed over the symbolic check to the representatives of the recipient organizations with Mayor Sabine Amsbeck-Dopheide in attendance. For many years now, the Harsewinkel location of Arvato SCM Solutions has been sponsoring the city’s charitable projects . Boris Scholz, Managing Director of an Arvato business unit in Harsewinkel, explains their intentions: “With all our heart, we are committed to helping our community. We believe in the importance of supporting our youth in the region which is why we sponsor projects and engage with organizations that devote intensive efforts to fostering children”.
The “Stadtjugendring” project and “Die Villa” youth center are dedicated to supporting the specialized teacher-supervised recreational activities of children and adolescents. The swimming courses for kids organized by the city in cooperation with the Stadtsportring, an association of the city's sports clubs, are designed to help prevent swimming accidents. The “Rucksack Project” supports children from migrant backgrounds in learning German and thereby promotes their integration into the community and society.
